2. About Our Products

The Banknote Man specializes in premium collectible banknotes and world currency memorabilia. All product listings, images, and descriptions are provided in good faith and to the best of our knowledge. Please note:

  • Product images are high-resolution representations of the actual item. Minor variations in colour, tone, or appearance may occur due to photography lighting, monitor calibration, or the natural characteristics of aged currency.
  • Where applicable, grading assessments reflect our professional opinion or that of a recognized third-party grading service. Grading is inherently subjective, and we do not guarantee agreement with any other grading standard or service.
  • All items are sold as collectibles only and are not legal tender.
  • Nothing on this website constitutes financial, investment, or valuation advice of any kind.

3. Pricing & Currency

All prices are listed in Canadian dollars (CAD) unless otherwise indicated. For international customers, your final charge will be converted by your payment provider at the prevailing exchange rate. We reserve the right to correct pricing errors at any time prior to shipment. In the event of a pricing error, we will contact you before processing your order.

4. Orders & Payment

By placing an order, you represent that you are of legal age in your jurisdiction and that the payment information you provide is accurate and authorized. We accept major credit cards and other payment methods as displayed at checkout. We reserve the right to refuse or cancel any order at our discretion, including in cases of suspected fraud or pricing errors.

5. Shipping & Delivery

We ship internationally. Estimated delivery times are provided in good faith but are not guaranteed. Risk of loss and title for items pass to you upon delivery to the carrier. You are responsible for providing an accurate shipping address; we are not liable for losses due to incorrect address information.

For international orders, you are solely responsible for compliance with your country's import laws and regulations, including any applicable customs duties, taxes, import restrictions, or prohibitions on the importation of currency collectibles. We are not responsible for items seized or delayed by customs authorities.

6. Returns & Refunds

All sales are final. Due to the collectible nature of our products, we do not accept returns or exchanges based on change of mind, personal preference, or fluctuations in market value. Collectible banknote markets can change rapidly, and the resale or collector value of any item at the time of purchase is not guaranteed to remain stable. Refunds or replacements are only considered in cases where an item arrives damaged, is materially not as described, or fails our authenticity guarantee. 7. Authenticity

We stand behind the authenticity of every item we sell. If you believe an item you received is not as described, please contact us within 7 days of delivery. We will work with you in good faith to resolve any concerns.

8. Intellectual Property

All content on this website β€” including product photographs, descriptions, logos, and branding β€” is the property of The Banknote Man and may not be reproduced, distributed, or used without our express written permission. Unauthorized scraping, copying, or redistribution of our catalog data or imagery is strictly prohibited.

Our total liability shall not exceed the amount paid for the specific item giving rise to the claim.

The Banknote Man is a collectibles retailer, not a financial advisor, investment dealer, or appraisal service. Nothing on this website β€” including product descriptions, historical context, rarity notes, pricing, or any communications from us β€” should be construed as investment advice, a recommendation to buy or sell for investment purposes, or a guarantee of future value.

Collectible banknotes and currency items may fluctuate in market value. Past prices, catalogue references, or sale prices are provided for informational and collector reference purposes only and are not a representation of future resale value or investment return.

By purchasing from The Banknote Man, you acknowledge that you are doing so for personal collecting purposes and that any investment or resale decisions you make are entirely your own. We expressly disclaim any liability for loss of value, market depreciation, or financial loss of any kind related to items purchased from our store.

12. Governing Law

These Terms of Use are governed by the laws of the Province of Nova Scotia and the federal laws of Canada applicable therein, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of Nova Scotia.
