Obverse: Features the portrait of Queen Elizabeth II and the denomination "One Dollar" in English and French. Issued by the Bank of Canada as part of the Scenes of Canada series, this note was one of the last Canadian dollar banknotes before the coin replaced the bill in 1987.
Reverse: Displays the Canadian Parliament Buildings in Ottawa with bilingual text and the Bank of Canada designation, a classic and iconic reverse design for this series.
