DETAILS:
Obverse: Features a mosque and ancient coin design with the denomination "2 Afghanis" and text in Dari and Pashto. Part of the historic 2002 redenomination series issued by Da Afghanistan Bank following the fall of the Taliban regime.
Reverse: Displays the Victory Arch in Paghman Gardens, one of Kabul's most beloved historical landmarks, with decorative border elements and denomination value.
The Afghanistan 2 Afghanis (P65a) is part of the landmark 2002 currency reform series, representing a new chapter in Afghan history following decades of conflict. Collectors often complete the full low-denomination Post-Taliban set (1, 2, and 5 Afghanis), making this a key piece. An uncirculated example in this condition is a great find.
