Obverse: Portrait of Sir Frank Worrell, the legendary West Indian cricket captain and first black man to captain the West Indies team on a regular basis. The Barbados coat of arms appears at upper left, with the denomination and Central Bank of Barbados text. Security features include a windowed security thread and a tactile feature for the visually impaired.
Reverse: The 3Ws Oval cricket ground at the University of the West Indies, Cave Hill Campus, Barbados — named in honour of cricket legends Sir Frank Worrell, Sir Clyde Walcott, and Sir Everton Weekes. The Central Bank of Barbados text and denomination appear with a stylized wave pattern background.
This 2018-dated note is part of the Central Bank of Barbados's updated banknote series honouring national heroes. Sir Frank Worrell (1924–1967) is one of Barbados's most celebrated figures — knighted for his services to cricket and later serving as a senator in Trinidad and Tobago. Printed by De La Rue, this crisp uncirculated example is a wonderful addition to any Caribbean or Commonwealth collection.
