Obverse: Portrait of Queen Elizabeth II at right, as it appeared on Belizean currency during her reign. The Central Bank of Belize text and coat of arms appear prominently. Security features include a windowed security thread and watermark. The blue-green colouring gives this note a distinctly tropical feel.
Reverse: The Keel-Billed Toucan — Belize's national bird — depicted in stunning colour against a lush tropical background. With its extraordinary multicoloured bill of green, orange, red and yellow, the Keel-Billed Toucan is one of the most visually striking birds in the Americas and a prized topical for bird and wildlife collectors. Ancient Maya ruins appear in the background, reflecting Belize's rich pre-Columbian heritage.
