Obverse: A tall mosque minaret at left with intricate geometric and arabesque patterns throughout. A dhow — the traditional sailing vessel of the Arabian Gulf — with palm trees appears at upper right. Traditional Islamic geometric lattice border design.
Watermark: Dhow and denomination 1.
Reverse: Three White-cheeked Terns (Sterna repressa) — a seabird common along the coasts of the Arabian Gulf and Indian Ocean. One adult perches prominently at upper left while two younger birds rest below, set against intricate geometric arabesque patterns.
