Reverse: English text. Greater Kudu — one of the largest antelope species in Africa, recognized by its long spiral horns. Camel depicted. Denomination 50 in numerals.

Somaliland declared independence from Somalia in 1991 and issues its own currency, though it remains unrecognized by the international community. Its banknotes are widely collected as a unique example of currency from an unrecognized state.
