Obverse: Features a male lion at centre, with Arabic and Swahili text and the denomination 2000 in numerals. Ornate geometric patterned borders throughout. Two governor signatures and date 2020.
Reverse: Depicts Mount Kilimanjaro, Africa's highest peak, rising above the Tanzanian plains. Issuer name "Benki Kuu Ya Tanzania" printed alongside the denomination. Security thread present.
