Obverse: Portrait of Simón Bolívar — El Libertador, the revolutionary leader who led the independence of Venezuela, Colombia, Ecuador, Peru, and Bolivia from Spanish rule in the early 19th century. Depicted in military uniform. Spanish text; stars; flowers; BCV as registration device; running horse; Venezuelan coat of arms. 4mm wide holographic windowed security thread with demetalized BCV.
Watermark: Simón Bolívar and electrotype BCV.
Reverse: The Panteón Nacional de Venezuela (National Pantheon) and the Mausoleo del Libertador Simón Bolívar in Caracas — the final resting place of Simón Bolívar and other Venezuelan national heroes. Spanish text and denomination 200 MIL BOLÍVARES.
Issued during Venezuela’s hyperinflationary crisis, this 200,000 Bolívares note was introduced 3 September 2020 as part of the emergency high-denomination series. Despite the BCV imprint, these notes were printed by Goznak of Russia.
