Reverse: Features the Cardinalito (Red Siskin), Venezuela's national bird, depicted perched among tropical vegetation. Issuer name "Banco Central de Venezuela" printed alongside the denomination.
The Red Siskin is listed as endangered due to habitat loss and illegal trapping for the cage bird trade.
